4Knowledge Analysis Solutions’ blend of expertise of investigations, intelligence collection and analysis as well as information and knowledge management is unique in South Africa. Started in March 2007 as the first company in South Africa to offer certified intelligence analysis training, we have grown to provide a wide range of customised intelligence solutions to our clients. Capitalizing on our network of security, intelligence and geopolitical experts, our analytical, OSINT, consulting and training services allow decision-makers and organizations to anticipate, respond to and emerge from business disruptions with a competitive edge.
Clients
Our client base has grown to 65 clients from civilian intelligence, defence, law enforcement, national and provincial government departments, regulatory and compliance agencies, security companies, banks and private companies in South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho, Malawi, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Ethiopia, Nigeria and Senegal.
Resources
Our associates, analysts and trainers are experts in their fields which includes intelligence analysis, investigations, intelligence collection, financial crime, counter intelligence, report writing and editing, intelligence management, intelligence information systems management and knowledge management. We also use sophisticated software systems and intelligence processes to conduct environmental scanning for our OSINT products.
Certification
The current South African accreditation system does not allow private providers to accredit short courses that are on NQF 6/7 (degree and post graduate levels) not leading to a qualification. However, our courses are benchmarked against international criteria i.e. our Short Course in Intelligence Analysis as well as the 5 day and 10 day Strategic Intelligence Analysis are approved for certification purposes in the Certified Crime Analyst program of the International Association for Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts (IALEIA). Our membership of the International Association for Intelligence Education (IAFIE) ensures that we keep abreast of the newest trends and thinking about intelligence training. Students receive a Certification of Completion.
Leadership
Dalene Duvenage started the company after 19 years in the South African intelligence community as an intelligence analyst and intelligence training specialist. She served on the Board of IALEIA as Director for Africa, Asia and Australia for 5 years, is a regular speaker at international conferences and is highly regarded as an intelligence entrepreneur and thought leader in professionalising intelligence.
