Certification

4Knowledgement Analysis Solutions is the only provider of accredited analysis training in Africa.  Our courses are certified by Stellenbosch University's Centre for Knowledge Dynamics and Decision-making.  The courses follow the career progression of the analyst from basic to management level.

In-house (hosted) training

Discount is available if you prefer hosting a course for only your employees at a convenient time and location. At least 8 learners are required for this option. Contact dalene@4knowledge.co.za for details.

 International training

4Knowledge is the only private company providing this type of specialist training in South Africa and the continent. Depending on your needs, several of the courses can be combined in one longer course of 2 weeks long for cost-effectiveness and impact. Contact dalene@4knowledge.co.za for details on price structure.

Venue and fees

Training takes place either at the client’s or our premises in Moreleta Park, Pretoria. The fees include manuals/learning material, assessment, certification, refreshments and venue where appropriate. Should the client have its own training facilities, rates are lower. Prices are per person, excluding VAT. Discount for confirmed large groups or in-house training is available. Contact us for a detailed fee structure to fit your training needs.

Duration

Course duration and content can be designed to suit the client’s needs and can be contextualised for military, law enforcement, national security or corporate business intelligence and risk management. Courses can be presented in separate modules as described in the following pages, in workshop format or longer, integrated learning programmes.

Learning assumed to be in place

Learners are expected to have at least an NQF 4 (Grade 12/Matric certificate) and have some experience in English writing. They should also have a thorough understanding of their organisation’s policies, procedures and systems in information and document management, as well as operational matters.

Contextualisation

We believe that adults learn effectively when they use scenarios / case studies from their own environment. Therefore we work together with the client to compile training material in the contexts of national security, crime, corruption, terrorism, business or risk management.

 Use of computers

It is advisable that learners bring along laptops for use during the exercise assignments. The laptops should be equipped with Microsoft Office (or similar). It is important that computers are configured so that data files (in Word, PowerPoint and Excel for example) can be loaded; also that students’ answers in these formats can be copied to CD-ROM or USB memory stick; that printers can be attached; and that the ports for these transactions are enabled. For the Internet Intelligence Course, a Wi-fi/wireless enabled laptop is required.
